Ahhh. Google’s taking over the internet, and I love it! They’ve just (as of 53 minutes ago) released their new chat program Google Talk.

if you get the program.
You can also use google chat if you use Gaim (it’s written on the Jabber protocol) w/o downloading the actual program.

I was going to post this and thought…”would anyone really care?”
I guess the answer is yes! I’ll have to grab it. It will be interesting how many people give it a try. A lot of open-source geeks might, since it uses jabber…and they for the most part have used jabber when they can…
So, will it spread because “the computer god that lives next door told me that google talk is the only IM I should be using, and since I am computer illiterate, I do everything the computer god tells me…”
Time will tell.
